Shielded enclosures require ventilation for cooling and air exchange, but conventional ventilation openings can create electromagnetic leakage paths.

The honeycomb filter is designed to permit maximum airflow for cooling, heating, and ventilation without degrading the shielded performance of the enclosure.

The shielding effectiveness is determined by both the thickness of the honeycomb core and honeycomb cell size. Various cell sizes, thicknesses, frame types, and surface finishes are available to meet different shielding and airflow requirements.
